On October 25, 2008 kids made there way down to Sheldrake Lake Park for an afternoon full of fun and games. This year the subdivision put on a Halloween party and all were invited to come. Several people participated in organizing the party and we greatly appreciated all of those that helped make this event fun for the kids.
The fun filled afternoon consisted of lots of games such as a scavenger hunt, pumpkin carving, and a costume contest with prizes. The winners of the costume contest were Austin, who was dressed as a scary pirate; Evan, who was dressed as a fierce Indiana Jones; Mathew, who was dressed in a feathery chicken costume; and Megan, who was dressed as a beautiful angel.
Pumpkin carving was an exciting time and each person carved a unique pumpkin that looked great when they were all lit. Those attending the party spent the afternoon socializing and playing lots of games, which included prizes and they certainly enjoyed themselves.
We are planning on having a Halloween party next year and we hope more people can come. The party went great and everybody had a great time. Thank you to all who participated and we hope everybody had fun.
